Sunday Ride - 80 mile Challenge

Today was a full day of hard riding and sprinting, 80 miles might sound tiring and long for some of you but for us, when you have great company and friends to ride with, the day goes by so quick. Keeping a estimate of 18-20 MPH. Waking up early and getting out of bed while your bed sheets is all warm. who wouldn't want to sleep in and catch up on some rest. not us because we love to ride and hang out with our friends. Thanks for another good ride and time - Mr Kirk Black, Alex, Chris, Daryl, and Darious Rapito.

Right after last week's Sunday ride, we started to plan our destination for this Sunday's ride 11/18/2012. We challenge ourselves to a total of a 80 mile ride. We knew it was going to be chilly and early ride but  that did not stop us, we all love this!! we eat this!! we shit this!! lol  we live for this!! the feeling of almost puking because your pedaling your soul out. ahhh you know that feeling!! NNR!!

we met up at our usual meet up spot La Colombe 270 Lafayette @ 9am for Espresso and out the door and pedaling at 9:30am sharp. In  New York City right now, morning are in its low 40's and by the afternoon it reaches to it's upper 40's, so gearing up and dressing as perfect as possible is so important. You do not want to over dress because you'll be sweating ur ass off like Alex, lol and you do not want to under dress like Chris so he brought aluminum foil for his toes in case lol. Mr. Kirk Black and Darius Rapito came out like Rambo, rocking bike shorts with no knee warmers. I was very happy with my results, I rock my norm suite - Golden Saddle Cyclery bib, MASH jersey, MASH wind vest, MASH defeet arm warmers, Cadence Collection Knee warmers, Shoe cover from Embrocation Defeet Hi Vez for visibility. Chari and CO smart glove (these gloves are great for me because I love pulling out my phone while on my bike and capturing these epic moments).

We headed north toward Van Cortland Park and reach our destination at Kensico Reservoir Dam.
Here is the address if you would like to add this to favorites, 121 Columbus Avenue, Valhalla, NY 10595. Side note, Croton is still my favorite. Nothing beats the feeling when arriving at Croton Dam. here is the address for Croton Dam. Croton Gorge Park, RR 129, Cortlandt Manor, NY 10567

Moments are epic !!
