100 miles !! NYC Century 2012
so this is what I have to say about the NYC Century 2012 100 mile ride the day after....
the 1'st hardest part of this ride was to actually sign up and setting in your mind that your going to do a damn 100 miles on a Fixed Gear Track bike. The 2nd hardest part of this ride is waking up at 5am the day of the ride. Who wants to wake up at 5am ??? not meee but yes I woke up at 5am because I love the sport and Miquel was waiting for me outside so I couldn't snooze for another 5-10 mins lol!!
many people ask and comment, Fixed Gear........ 100 miles???!! Really?!?!? yes really, do you see any gears?? no brakes?? Yes, no brakes. (pointing to my thighs) these are my brakes homie
the reason for the weapon of my choice, even though I have a roadie is because this is my style of riding. ATTACK MODE!! I accept the challenge and love the fact that I have total control of my bike
would I do it again or suggest this bike tour to anyone? the answer is NO!!!! lol, sorry to be so straight up and honest but this is just who I am if you don't know me, this tour is a waste of money. the Bike Tour is so unorganized, the staff have no clue about the Tour, most of them is just there to give out food and cheer at the finish line. I couldn't find anyone that actually knows about the ride and where to go with directions. It is a waste of money, not acceptable, I can easily put together a 100 mile ride with my friends and enjoy it 10 times more.
looking foward to the Tour De Bronx on Oct 14th 2012
Make sure to make plans for this one!! It should be free and its Police escorted
40 miles but feels like 80 when your done because of the hills!!
enjoy the photos from our ride Yesterday
Thank you for checking out my post and blog
